The Nordic Ski & Snowshoe Center at The Mountain Top Inn & Resort, one of the first commercial cross country ski touring centers in the country, has served the skiing public for more than a quarter century.  Located in a renovated horse stable and heated solely with a Vermont Castings wood stove, we pride ourselves on delivering some of the best cross country skiing.  We offer 80km of trails (40km groomed), with classical ski track and skating lanes; and a snowmaking system that covers 2k of terrain.  Our ski shop has the latest in ski and snowshoe rentals, waxes, and accessories.  The ski school is staffed with a friendly and knowledgeable group of instructors for all skill levels.  Helping us to ensure that conditions are always perfect for our guests you will see our PistenBully groomer at work in the early morning and as needed throughout the day.

  During the past few years we have made tremendous improvements in the overall Nordic ski experience for skiers of all ages and abilities.  Mid-week you will see the area high school teams getting into condition and racing competitively.  On a regular basis we welcome youngsters from the Bill Koch League to have fun while learning to cross country ski.  Once a year the Nordic Center hosts the Paintball Biathlon which is the largest youth biathlon event in the world.  The Resort’s Nordic Center is also proud to have been selected to host the 2008 New England Women’s XC Ski Day on February 3.
