Roads MDOT to invest $49 million in U.P. in 2012
ESCANABA — The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) plans to invest $49 million in the Upper Peninsula this year, including $39 million to repair 202 miles of state highways, and $4 million to repair 11 bridges.

Roads Traffic signals in Ironwood to change March 8
IRONWOOD — To determine whether three traffic signals on the US-2 Business Route in Ironwood are needed, the MDOT will place them in flashing mode for 90 days, beginning Thursday, March 8.

Roads Michigan traffic fatalities drop to lowest level in nearly nine decades
Michigan's traffic deaths reached a milestone of 871 in 2009, the lowest number the state has recorded since 1924 when there were 863 traffic fatalities.
