Clearing work starts April 5 for US-2 Crystal Falls project

April 1, 2010

CRYSTAL FALLS — The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will be reconstructing and widening a section of US-2 in Crystal Falls to extend the center left-turn lane, installing new curb and gutter, and building an enclosed storm sewer. The project also includes construction of a nonmotorized trail from Park Street to the Iron County Medical Facility.

Construction will begin April 5 and should be completed by Sept. 16. This project will require lane closures with flag control.

For up-to-date information on this project, go to the list of statewide lane closures at: www.michigan.gov/drive.
